​During Floristry Foundations you will explore Symmetry with a range of designs constructed in a base medium (floral foam) and also includes wiring skills and bouquet making.

You'll also leave with a good grasp on the skills you can then implement in future flower designing for weddings and every day work.

Fresh flowers are included in your first session. Take home your completed designs and wow your friends and loved ones.


Session 1

Symmetrical Posy Bowl Arrangement - Compact

Introduction into Flower arranging, What is Symmetry, how to soak Base mediums, how to use our floristry tools correctly, how to wire a Gerbera?, what is point relation?

Session 2

Symmetrical Pot Arrangement -Loose and Airy

What is Active/Passive Form? What is staggering technique,Re-cap on point relation, use of tools especially knife

Session 3

Decorative Table Decoration, Long and Low with One or More Candles

How to anchor a candle into a base medium, how to prep materials for a table deco, re-enforcing learning outcomes from session 1+2

Session 4

Basic Buttonhole and Dress-Corsage

Why and how to use wires and tapes correctly, what gauge wire for what material? How to assemble a wired product.

Session 5

Posy Style Bouquet -  Compact

How to make a short stemmed bouquet? What is spiralling technique? How to tie-off the bouquet and how to professionally finish with a wrap.

Session 6

Strauss Design - Looser Outline

Re-enforce spiralling technique, tying and wrapping of a long-stemmed bouquet.
